Kinetic Indoor Cycle & Fitness

Kinetic Fitness Studio is an indoor cycling and fitness centre located in Lethbridge, Alberta. The building chosen for the boutique fitness studio formerly housed the Mennonite Central Committee Thrift Store. Although the structure had “good bones” the space required a complete overhaul to meet the exacting needs of the new clients. .

The design goal was to create a dynamic and welcoming fitness centre that maximized efficiency of the space in a limited footprint. The design of a diamond-shaped corridor creates a natural waiting area between classes, helps alleviate congestion, and adds a sense of dynamic motion to the space. Both interior and exterior finishes carry through the branding and identity of Kinetic Fitness Studio. The design has supported Kinetic’s philosophy of “building family and community” and providing “a place for people to feel comfortable, confident, and strong”.
