McKillop united church
McKillop United Church prides itself on creating a welcoming and inclusive community hub in Southern Alberta. As a faith community serving Lethbridge for over six decades, part of McKillop’s mission is to build outreach partnerships and engage the wider community of Lethbridge. Through this renovation SONGER architecture inc provided solutions to improve the community gathering spaces and overall building accessibility. The design includes an expansion and redesign of the kitchen; addition of an elevator for barrier-free access to all levels of the church and community spaces; and addition of barrier-free/gender-neutral washrooms.
